teaching your creator

why do we live and why do we die?

because those are the two things god cannot do

because limits and bounds, and bodies and death

are exactly what an endless, ever-lasting oneness cannot know

and they are exactly what god,

- in her endless, ever-lasting curiosity -

desires to learn

so why do we live and why do we die?

we live when god breathes her soul into our body

- the miracle of divinity-hemmed-flesh -

and when do we die?

the moments she decides (בהו״צ)

to pluck our soul like a petal from the stem

and return it to her garden

so we can regale the adventure

and teach all that we've learned here to them
